Michael was a chronic alcoholic, totally addicted to alcohol. He ended up living on the streets with all his possessions in one carrier bag, but the Lord  had other plans for him. Michael has recently  held the posts of Deputy Mayor  and more recently Mayor  of Swanley. Following extensive local  publicity, Mayor Michael, has received numerous  letters and phone calls from people congratulating him on his brave act or asking him for help with their problems. "I am overwhelmed and a little humbled by the positive reaction to my story in the media and very glad that I am able to be of help to others in need,"said Michael.
