Doncaster Chapter invite you to a
Dinner Meeting
at 7.30 pm on
Monday 18th January 2010 at
Earl of Doncaster Hotel, Bennetthorpe, Doncaster DN2 6AD
with Guest Speaker
David Novak

David is 60 year old and was born and bred in Huddersfield, where he lives with his wife Yvonne.  He spent the first ten years of his life in a Roman Catholic orphanage where he had a very strict upbringing and, after leaving the orphanage at the age of eleven, he was brought up by a violent stepmother.  He became a very mixed up and confused teenager, unable to keep in a relationship and feeling that life was cruel and aimless.

He worked as a coal man, delivering coal to miners' and ex-miners' houses, which built up his body; he became muscular and strong and few would cross him.  He was eventually arrested and charged with manslaughter and, while in a police cell, he prayed and said "if you get me out of here, I will listen".

Come and hear just how amazing God's love is, and how the brick walls that David had built to protect him were removed that the love of God might shine through him.  The change in David also greatly affected Yvonne's life and together they have come through many difficulties and trials.
